I finally found a few pictures from our school days. The combined 1st/2nd grade class was a sort of experiment, I think. They didn't want to double-promote us and make us skip first grade, so they compromised and put us in with a second grade class, I guess assuming we would absorb some of the material they were studying along with our own curriculum. I'm not sure what year the Nativity Play was, but I think it was eighth grade.
